iO-LINK SUPPORT

 

  • Press the SERVICES button
  • Press 001 then the SELECT button
  • Press the RIGHT arrow button across to RF OUTLETS
  • Press the SELECT button
  • Scroll down to RFOUTLET POWER SUPPLY
  • Press the right arrow key and set to ON
  • Press the GREEN button to save  

  

 
  • Example System 1 for SKYHD
  • New SkyHD box > iO-LINK > tvlink > connected to 1 TV
  • Activate the RFOUT 2 setting in the SkyHD box menu,the procedure on how to do this is in the guide that comes with the iO-LINK.
  • Check and make sure the L E D lights up on the box part of the tvLINK which is plugged into the distributed TV .
  • Tune in your distributed TV into the Sky signal using the analogue tuner in the TV.
  • If NO Sky signal then change the RF channel number setting 21-69 explained in the iO-LINK guide.
 
 
  • Problems, tvLINK not changing channels on distributed TV's ?
  • Unplug the tvLINK and with the unit in hand take down to the iO-LINK and plug direct into the iO-LINK RFOUT port. The L E D on the box part of the tvLINK should light up.
  • Cover the front,sides and top of the SkyHD box and then point the SkyHD remote control at the sensor part of the tvLINK by pressing the buttons on the SkyHD remote control have a look to see if the Sky signal is changing channels on the main TV. If yes then the iO-LINK and tvLINK are ok and are fully working units and you will need to check the cable and the connectors take them off and refit them back onto the cable. 
  • Make sure there are no wall-plates or splitters inline along the coax cable blocking the power these need to be DC passing type wall-plates or splitters. 
 
 
 
 
  • Example System 2
  • New SkyHD box > iO-LINK> T Series distribution amplifier T120 OR T140>sending the Sky signal to a number of TV's. 
  • Activate the RFOUT 2 Setting in the SkyHD box menu follow the procedure in the iO-LINK guide.  
  • Make sure the T Series distribution amplifier is mains powered either inline using our DCI-Inserter and Power supply, OR using just the power supply plugged direct into the side of the T Series amplifier.
  • Tune in your TV's you are distributing the Sky signal to using the analogue tuner in each of the TV's.
  • If NO Sky signal then change the RF channel number setting using channel numbers between 21 to 60 explained in the iO-LINK guide.   
 

 

  • Problems tvLINK not lighting up & no control ?
  • Are there wallpaltes at the tvLINK location ? Non isolated wallplates are required these pass power (DC) no resistors or capacitors if you look closely on the back of the wallplate.
  • Test the tvLINK unplug from the distributed TV location and with the tvLINK in your hand take this down to the iO-LINK and plug direct into the RFOUT port on the iO-LINK without any cable inbetween and the L E D should light up on the box part of the tvLINK. 
  • Cover the front,sides and top of the SkyHD box and then point the SkyHD remote control at the sensor part of the tvLINK by pressing the buttons on the SkyHD remote control have a look to see if the Sky signal is changing channels on the main TV. If yes then the iO-LINK and tvLINK are ok and are fully working units and you will need to check the cable and the connectors take them off and refit them back onto the cable.

  • Example System 3
  • New HDbox > iO-LINK > DCI & Power supply connected to port zero on the SPC-4 > T Series distribution amplifier mains powered > tvLINK connecting to distributed TV's one for each.
  • Activate the RFOUT 2 setting in the Sky box HD menu, procedure on how to do this is in the iO-LINK guide.
  • Check and make sure the L E D's are powered up on the SPC-4, Distribution amplifier, and tvLINKs.
  • Tune in your distributed TV's into the Sky signals for each of the boxes you have plugged into the SPC-4, 
  • Now follow the SPC-4 guide on how to program each Sky box into the system in order for you to be able to get control of each box from each TV location.
